Whole Body Cryotherapy FAQs

  • It is perfectly safe to participate in cryotherapy up to once per day. It is important to remember that every person is different and the effects will vary depending on health, body type, age, weight, etc.

  • People with the following conditions should not use whole body cryotherapy. Pregnant women, untreated hypertension (BP> 180/100), acute or recent myocardial infarction, unstable angina pectoris, arrhythmia, symptomatic cardiovascular disease, cardiac pacemaker, peripheral arterial occlusive disease, venous thrombosis, acute or recent cerebrovascular accident, uncontrolled seizures, Raynaud’s Syndrome, fever, tumor disease, symptomatic lung disorders, bleeding disorders, severe anemia, infection, claustrophobia, cold allergy, age less than 18 years (parental consent to treatment required), acute kidney and urinary tract diseases. Signed medical forms are filled out before your session.

  • The air in the Cryo chamber is unlike any other cold we experience in the natural world. Instead, it is very dry and some people won’t even shiver! You will feel a cold sensation as the air passes over your skin and the beneficial effects are created.

  • Clients must be at least 18 years of age, but we can treat someone younger with parental consent.

  • While we do not accept insurance policies, we try to keep our sessions cost-effective for all of our clients.

  • Please do not apply lotions, creams or oils on the body. Please do not wear any body jewelry or shave the day of treatment.

  • To experience the maximum benefits from your session, we recommend as much skin exposure as possible and that you are comfortable with.

Men- wear shorts, boxers or swim trunks.

Women- wear a sport bra, underwear, gym shorts or a bathing suit.

  • The chamber is enclosed; however, it is spacious with a large window. A staff member will guide and monitor the whole session.

  • Cryotherapy is nothing like an ice bath. Mainly, you will stay perfectly dry. The effects are far greater with cryotherapy and your skin will reach as low as 30 degrees while remaining unharmed and even improved. A normal ice bath will only reduce skin temperature to around 40 degrees after a grueling 15 minutes and can be harmful to the skin.

  • While in session, your body will react to the extreme cold condition by rapidly producing more blood cells, enzymes, endorphins, dopamine, and serotonin. The effect this has on your body is extraordinary. Your body will burn an estimated 700 calories and your circulatory system will be empowered and enriched with fast-healing properties. You will feel renewed, elevated, and ready to take on whatever is next.

  • You can work out immediately before or after your session. If you work out before your session, you will experience improved recovery. And if you work out after the session, you may feel a greater tolerance for pain, increased movement, and energy.

Cryo Slimming FAQs

  • Always drink plenty of water and refrain from eating food for an hour before and after the session.

  • The number of sessions needed depends on the body and it's ability to handle the cold. The longer we can keep that blue light on, the better.

  • Kaasen cools a targeted area of the body to 39 F usng carbon dioxide to stimulate a natural body response. This is called *thermal shock*, the body's response to rapid cooling.

The fat cells destroyed in the process pass naturally through the body's lymphatic system. Cryo Slimming is a safe, painless, and non-surgical alternative to liposuction. Compared to other "fat freezing" treatments, Cryo Slimming is cheaper, painless, and more effective!

  • True cryostimulation is the rapid cooling of the skin and underlying tissues to 4 degrees Celsius, under pressure, to induce thermal shock. Thermal shock produces a favorable biological response from the body to the cold temperature.

Localized Cryotherapy FAQs

  • During your session, our trained specialists will apply cryogenically cooled air to specific parts of the body. This cold air penetrates deep into the layers of tissue and increases blood circulation to alleviate pain and inflammation, and also speed up recovery from injuries. This session lasts from 5-10 minutes depending on the area being treated.

  • It all depends on how you feel after your session. You may achieve your desired results after one session, or it could take multiple treatments. As a general rule, you should feel some level of relief or improvement in the skin's appearance (depending upon your area of focus) after the initial session.

  • Yes. The cryo facial machine is state of the art and fully electric.

  • Cryotherapy has been proven to relieve symptoms of eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis, such as redness and itchiness. It is also said to help improve acne. Cryotherapy stimulates blood circulation so nutrient and waste exchange within cells can happen more efficiently.

  • Furthering the treatment's anti-aging benefits, cryo facials are said to restore firmness to the skin and will even cause the skin to feel tighter right after the treatment. In rejuvenating the skin, the cryo facial also restores radiance, soothes inflammation and improves skin texture and tone.
